About
This course is designed to support you to create an inclusive and language rich environment for all children in early years and school age care settings. It provides a unique opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the importance of language and will give you the confidence to plan and deliver an experience where all children can feel included and have a voice.
Modules
This course is divided into two sections.Ā Section 1 will introduce you to the unique challenges that children face when they are developing a sense of identity and home language.Ā Section 2 will help you to learn how to incorporate multilingual practices in your setting to enhance childrenās experiences.
The āThis is Meā toolkit is available after you complete Sections 1 and 2. The Toolkit includes videos, PDFs, links and ideas for each unit. It also offers ideas for implementation in your setting.
Registration
To register, click here and have your member number to hand. You can complete the programme one module at a time or complete it all in one sitting. Your progress will be saved, and certs will be issued once the programme is complete. To ensure that each staff member receives their individual cert they must log-in separately, with their own name.
